Betsu ni. べつに。 A Japanese phrase roughly meaning, "nothing in particular". Clever name for a weblog, eh? All right, perhaps not.
This is a bona fide personal weblog. I write about my life, my hobbies and interests, and the world around me. Surprisingly enough, some people (such as yourself... I hope) find that sort of thing fascinating. I try my best to be a fascinating person in return.
Betsu what?
About the Author

I was born in Iowa in 1978, grew up in Saginaw, Texas (near Fort Worth), and graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations. Today, I live in lovely Denver, Colorado. Other places I've called home include Omaha, Nebraska and Tokyo, Japan.
I'm cursed with a number of competing interests, it seems. For one, I'm an avid photographer, as evidenced by the ridiculous number of photos I post to this blog in lieu of actual content.
I'm also an unapologetic anime nut, having a strong preference for slice-of-life shows and, as I've been told, things "inexplicably shoujo." I blog about anime here.
Finally, thanks to a childhood interest in weather, I'm a storm chaser. It's worth noting, however, that I don't chase as often as I'd like to anymore due to time and financial constraints.
