The show is getting to be a real downer. In some ways, it's hard to believe so much could go wrong at once. And, in all honesty, I don't see how Koyuki will be the one to pull everyone back together. For all I know, that might not happen. Perhaps the series will end with Beck's demise and Koyuki's ascension to solo stardom in America.
This episode really suffered from the sort of sloppy, quick-cut direction that's plagued Beck from the very start. Obviously, it's a stylistic choice - Kobayashi Osamu is far from a freshman director - but there are scenes in which it simply does not work.
From what I've gathered from forums I think we will be let down with the ending. It looks like we will have to wait for a second season or atleast a couple of OVAs if we want any kind of closure. While I wouldn't mind more Beck who knows how long till they make any additional stuff? Tough times, tough times..
After I'm reading now what you have to write a bout it I'm glad I dropped Beck after episode 2. Like Mattias said: Tough times!

After reading the manga up to chapter 35, I thought that this series had a chance to cinch things up right in 26 episodes if the writers decided to use the Greatful Sound concert as the concluding event, especially if they had closed things with *possible spoilers*
Maho and Koyuki kissing in the forest after the performance.
*end spoilers*
Instead, they seem quite content in ending the series on a wicked cliffhanger *more possible spoilers*
(though the title of episode 26, "America," speaks volumes as to where the manga goes from the events of episode 25 on).
*end spoiler*
I think there's a good chance a lot of manga story post-Greatful Sound will be sacrificed to make an ending that leaves itself open to an easy second series/OVA deal. It really is a shame to me, as I think ending the series with Koyuki and Maho's kiss would've been much more poignant (especially given the introduction of "Moon on the Water" as the second ED song of the series) than the possible-upcoming cop-out of an ending. Guess we'll just have to wait and see when the RAW comes out (possibly tonight :-x).

I guess being too pesimistic isnt my style, in a way there was a let down on this episode. But heck i enjoyed plenty of episodes in very different ways. As for now, i do see a big possibility of a second season being forced upon the series which is not always the best thing in some cases.
Just like Parks said.. we are going to have to wait and see for ourselfs... Too bad i wont be watching the Raws'..

Oh man...that was a baaaaaad play on words! Someone needs to punish you :)
This anime is one of the greatest I've ever seen! I hope there is a second season! Beck rocks!
/** spoiler:
no offense, but i watched 24 and 25 again to lessen the pain of having seen the series, from its humble beginnings to its climax at greatfulk sound, go downhill before my eyes on episode 26.
