Do Tenma and Yakumo have a mother and father? Many of the scenes that take place within the Tsukamoto household suggest the two live alone. Perhaps there was an explanation in an earlier episode?
They probably do but they work outside of the country. That's the only explaination that makes sense since they don't seem to be traumatized at all and they also don't work. The parents of the HS kids don't play a role anyway. The only older people we know are Itoko, the lady that let Harima live with her and their homeroom teacher, right?
And you forgot Eri's father, who broke her heart when she wanted to cook for him. Poor Eri, our blond pigtailed princess.
As far as I can tell, the only parent we've seen a glimpse of is Eri's. Haven't seen any of Hanai's either, even though they (apparently) run the dojo. I went through the first manga chapter, but there was no mention of where the Tsukamoto sisters' parents are.
But, the other school comedy, Azumanga, didn't have many - if any - references to the main cast's parents either. I suppose it comes with the territory :)
There wasn't much of Eri-hime in this episode. :(
Don't forget the main "parent" in Azumanga - Chiyo Chichi! :)
At least we know Harima has a younger brother (all of a sudden).
PS. Watch out for episode 18, where Imatori has more on-air exposure! It's the best episode I've seen! Downloading Episode 24 now...
