I cried. I'll admit it.
Something I've noticed about the show thus far is that the pacing is often pretty awkward for the first half of an episode, only to settle into a comfortable groove following the commercial break. Thankfully, the "watershed" moments in the story, so to speak, always seem to come in the second half of each episode. Still, I think Minagi's story suffered because of this quirk, and I can't help but feel a little annoyed.
But then, it's really not all that important, is it?
I *almost* cried...but to be honest, and maybe this is because I just watched Kanon again, I think Kanon's side characters had much more moving stories. Mai, Shiori, Makoto--all three of their stories had me bawling like a little girl, but Kano's story just felt rushed and anti-climatic, and Minagi I felt like I'd just been introduced to, which really lessened the impact. Kanon also kept all the girls in the storyline for longer, while Kano seems to have just vanished into thin air after ep 4.
So far, I don't see this knocking Kanon off its pedestal, especially since it looks like it's Misuzu's story from here out and she's more immature than cute to me, but we'll see...it's hard to compare now, but when it's over I wonder how many people will say it's better than Kanon.

i cant believe i didnt cry... ( and i proud of myself!)... almost did tho.. if the pace of this episode was a little bit slower, i certainly would have.. there simply wasnt enough time for my emotion to "brew"..
it would be really nice if they make a separate movie for each of the 3 main story arc... i guess thats what the game is for
