Mai-HiME 16

Mikoto is really starting to grate on my nerves.

The karaoke segment was a nice respite given the seriousness of recent episodes, but now it's time for the HiME Olympics. Does Mai have what it takes to become the next Cosmo Beauty? University Satellite is calling!

Have there been many filler episodes in this? I can't recall that many, the break is nice since it looks like we'll be rolling in the HiME deathmatch soon, or at least that's what Nagi would have us believe.

Maybe they can all gang up on him...meh that's wishful thinking.

Nice allusion to Battle Athletes

Arg, I wish I found out how exactly Mai came back from space! I guess most of this episode was pretty pointless. I could kinda guess what would eventually happen when Nagi was reading Lord of the Flies in the car...

More importantly, how did she get her shoe back? :P

Seriously, though, I'll be sorely disappointed if this turns out to be like Highlander. Of course, given the series so far, there's bound to be some twists yet. Hopefully there will be less emphasis on Mikoto and Shiho in the future, I really can't stand the two.
