With the end of the series rapidly approaching (or not), it's time for the final showdown! Who will be crowned Iron Chef HiME?
Sorry, but I'm going to have to take back every good thing I've said about the show. No amount of dinky xylophone music could save this episode from itself.
Oh, and Takumi? Give it up, already. You're not fooling anyone.

I thought that it was common knowledge by now that the sites listing Mai Hime as 13 eps are off. It's a full season anime, most likely 24 eps.
And while this felt like a filler, it wasn't THAT bad :)
I guess I am not the only one noticing the change of Mai-HiME's length. It was listed as 13 not a long time ago, but for some reason it has been revised into 24.
hey, it just gotten better! ^_^/
For a filler, this ain't half-bad. And This is indeed a 'filling' taste(Cake!).
Wow, you're the first person I've seen who didn't like this episode.
And I wouldn't really call it filler. The stuff with Akira is definitely important, as was the stuff involving Alyssa.
As for the Cake Wars, well, that just allowed for more character interaction.
I've yet to see any solid confirmation for Mai HiME's length. Given how the story has been developing, however, and seeing as all the characters from the OP have been introduced, I'm still inclined to think it's only 13 episodes.
But, your guesses are as good as mine.
well if you didn't like this episode, you'll definitely like 12. Goes full blast on the plot and things get a lot more interesting ;)
... plus a new HiME is found. :D
oops... mad typo on my other post, I meant you'll like episode 11. Well, actually based on the preview for 12... you'll probably like that too.
my bad. :(
I thought this episode was decent at best...
But anyway, Mai-Hime is scheduled for 20 something episodes.

This website has always been accurate in the past. He normally labels the final episode with a "Finish," but if he doesn't know for sure, he just puts 26. So this means it could be 24, 25, or 26. It's definitely more than 13, though. We still have six Hime that have yet to be revealed (or five, depending on how you interpret ep 11).
Thanks for the info, Momo. That's good news, of course, since Mai HiME has been, for the most part, a fun show so far. More is better.

"Oh, and Takumi? Give it up, already. You're not fooling anyone."
i don't know what's worse: his fruity fashion sense, his sister complex, or the potential he could fall for a guy who's really a girl.
I'll just say this...I've seen shows like this and I just have to say it...
"EXPECT UPGRADES TO THE HIME'S WEAPONS AND CHILDS"
...you just know that's going to happen.
Sorry, but comments for this post are now closed.
