The background artwork for this show is very reminiscent of Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto. Both capture the feel of the city perfectly, I think. I wish the character designs didn't seem so "flat", though.
As expected, the music is top shelf. And I can't help but be reminded of my college days, hanging out in clubs, listening to bands play. Haven't done that in a long time.

I don't really get what you meant by 'flat' character designs.
Anyways, I never post anything here, and I've been visiting for about a year now, so I think it's time to say thanks for the job you are doing ('cuz I've found about lots of great anime series thanks to this site), and, keep it up!
By "flat", I mean that the faces don't have a lot of depth to them, especially from certain angles. It's a common problem with this style of character design, but it seems worse than usual in this show.
And thanks for the kudos! The site's a lot of work at times, but I enjoy it.
I love that comment on the last square. And yes, it is somewhat true that they fall for the foreign guys, especially the blonde with blue eyes :D.
Aside from the pro-American theme and a valiant effort to pronounce EngRish correctly, it is a great show so far. I love the atmosphere and the "reality" feel absent in most anime.
