Wow. This was incredibly good.

The girls return to the world of the second episode, except 40 years later. Mai ends up befriending Konami's troubled daughter, but that's just the beginning. Things get pretty heavy in the end.

If you're a Mai fan like myself, you're probably going to both love this episode for all the the screentime she gets and hate it for what she ends up going through. It's rough - and I'll admit to being floored that the story is taking such a serious turn. I really like what they're doing, though.
