Shimazaki and Tsubaki? I would say I'm surprised, but I guess there's been a couple of hints here and there.

Anyway, animation seemed a little weak (particularly character designs), but at least the story is now moving along in a fashion not all that dissimilar from Onegai Teacher. That is, the main characters learn more about themselves through the experiences of those who surround them.

And, as I've seen pointed out elsewhere: whereas Onegai Teacher was about being unable to move, Onegai Twins continues to be about being unable to stop. Interesting how the two shows play with some of the same themes.
